Handwoven ikat shoulder cloth from the Batak people of central Sumatra. Central panel with dark ground and fine lined sharp geometric motifs in succeeding parallel bands. Each end features multiple colored bands in supplementary weft. Three analagous bands run across the body of the cloth. Twined finishing band, with corded fringe.
